Look at Them Now!

Concept/performance: Alexander Deutinger & Marta Navaridas
Coaching: Irene Schaltegger
Text: Jorgen Leth, Alex Deutinger
Music: Lee Hazelwood, Vincent Gallo
Sound: Christina Lederhaas

Look at them now! faces and negotiates the absurdity of watching and being watched, crossing borders between going to the zoo and going to a performance. The work is inspired by the 1967 experimental short film The Perfect Human by Jorgen Leth, in which the protagonists perform simple actions, while the director's voice comments from the OFF on what the actors are doing. The combination of action and commentary provokes a reconsideration of what is observed.

Her choreographic works have been presented at festivals and venues in Austria, the Netherlands, Germany, Slovenia, and Spain. She received the DanceWeb-Europe Scholarship 2010.
